In the beginning, the results were promising. Aside from a few minor deformities (e.g. cracked and pale skin, discoloration of the eyes, childlike mannerisms, etc.), the Subjects showed increased levels of passivity and calmness. They required no sustenance and even seemed to stop aging altogether. But despite this, the fanatics continued the experiments and tests to make sure their methods had not been in vain. This continued for ten years, resulting in a sudden change of behaviour from the Subjects, leaving them in a calm yet vengeful state yet with different genetic ally mental traits.
James suddenly developed an obsession with death and killing, reading only from the parts of the Bible which included such reading material. Eve found that she had gained incredible manipulative tendencies, causing others to obey her when commanded. As for Mary, she began suffering dramatic mood swings, all of which causing her to act irrationally and lash out on occasion. Nonetheless, they still believed that while they were perfect, the scientists themselves had turned to sin. With the intense religious philosophy now implanted in their heads, they saw everything through their eyes as sin apart from themselves.
During a routine testing, the Subjects attacked the scientist and escaped their confinement to wreak havoc upon the facility. And while the fanatics attempted to defend themselves, they were eventually overpowered by the genetically altered Subjects. Upon escaping and making their way to the police, the children were returned to their homes much to the joy of their families with the exception of James who needed immediate treatment for his addiction to bloodshed. However, upon returning home, the Subjects still displayed a childlike curiosity, the lessons and beliefs that were thrust on them still tucked away in the backs of their minds.
Mary's mother took it upon herself to retrieve a toy for her child, only to discover when she returned to the room that she had vanished. Little did she know that the "perfect" child was right behind her and brutally murdered her for her supposed sins of sloth; the cause for letting her get kidnapped in the first place. After hearing of the news of their ally getting incarcerated, Eve and Mary make their way to the Psychiatric Hospital James is being kept at. After they arrive, they make their way to James' ward and kill the doctors attending to him. However, the police are soon alerted to their location and cause the Subjects to unleash a horde of mental patients upon them and make their escape.
With an uncertain future ahead of them and the blood of countless "sinners" on their hands, the three Subjects head out of town towards an unknown location.
